Mexican cuisine
Mexico is and old Aztec kingdom. It is the country of rich
history and sophisticated cuisine, which reflect the hot temperament
of its inhabitants. The most popular foods are spicy dishes, generously
garnished with chili, black pepper and paprika, available in more
then 1000 variations.
Mexican cuisine is a combination of native Mexican inhabitants’
recipes and the Spanish culinary tradition. The cuisine of Mexico
today includes dishes of every possible flavour: sour, sweet, hot,
salty and bitter.

- More then 20 different kinds of bean originate from Mexico.
Beans combined with sweet corn are an important source of amino
acids, which are necessary in the production of proteins. Beans
are served with aromatic herbs or ground as a tortilla stuffing.
- Olive oil was brought to Mexico by Spanish conquistadors. Before
that happened food had been baked, boiled in water and sometimes
prepared in underground holes.
Tacos are one of the most popular dishes in Mexican cuisine. Mostly
served as a side dish. Tacos generally consist of tortilla, minced
beef, onion, garlic, beans and corn. |
