| American Cuisine
American cuisine was created by three major factors: eating
habits of Native Americans, recipes brought by immigrants from Europe
and China and African slaves’ cuisine. The traditional American
dishes are very caloric and difficult to digest and that is why
American cuisine is thought to be fat, unhealthy and not diversified
enough. This situation has its historical roots, as real pioneers
and colonizers had to eat calories rather then healthy food to give
them strength for every day hard work. Initially American cuisine
dishes had a European character; but over time sweet corn and beans
become major ingredients.
